The Kabaka Foundation through its Chairman, Nana Owiredu Wadie I, has handed over a newly renovated lecture hall to St. Peter’s Senior High School to boost teaching and learning at the institution.
The facility, which was refurbished at the initiative of the foundation, includes new roofing, ceiling, flooring, windows, doors, electrical wiring, and modern seating and a sunroof system.
Speaking at the handing-over ceremony at the school’s campus on Friday, May 15, Nana Owiredu Wadie I said the project was part of his foundation’s s commitment to supporting education in Kwahu.
“Education is the foundation of development. As custodians of this land, we have a duty to ensure that our schools have the right environment for students to excel. This hall is our contribution to that goal,” he said.
The Headmaster of St. Peter’s SHS, Rev. Fr. Samuel Aidoo thanked the Nana Owiredu Wadie and his family for the intervention, noting that the upgraded facility would ease congestion and improve the learning experience for students, particularly those in the science and business departments.
He appealed for continued support from alumni, philanthropists, and corporate bodies to address other infrastructure needs in the school.
Students and staff marked the occasion with appreciation and a tour of the renovated hall.
St. Peter’s SHS, located in Nkwatia-Kwahu, has been a beneficiary of several projects from the Kaba in recent years, including scholarships and infrastructural support.
At the same event, Nana Owiredu Wadie I, the Nkosuohene of the Kwahu Nkwatia Area, who also serves as the Board Chairman of the school gifted the immediate-past Headmaster of the St. Peter’s SHS a a fully registered brand new vehicle in recognition of his service to the school.
