The Member of Parliament for Kade Constituency, Alex Agyare has decisively denied all allegations of maneuvering his way through the polling station elections that was characterized by chaos in his constituency.

According to the MP, it is of no reasonable cause for anyone to link him to the obscene images that emerged from the constituency on Saturday, February 19.

Speaking in an interview on Republic FM’s Anopa Dawuro on Monday, February 21, 2022, the MP said he is not somebody anybody can describe as violent and that, the Kade constituency has never experienced any political crisis since 1992.

“KK you know me, and I’m sure you know I’m not a violent person. It’s not true. Since 1992, Kade has nerve experience any political turmoil and it will not be under my watch for Kade to go to into such distress” he said.

Establishing his arguments, the MP said, the constituency received it Party forms on Friday night and as party laws demand, the local elections committee had to endorse the forms before it is disbursed.

According to him, he received information that, some party faithful have converged at the constituency party office and at the time he got to the scene, the party office had not been opened.

He said, upon opening of the office, one party faithful who claimed to be contesting for a regional Chairman told him (the MP), he has interest in the contest.

“When they opened the office, I entered and one guy claiming to be contesting for regional Chairman told me he has interest and I told him that’s fine, but I told him we are not going give it to them (I said that sarcastically and we laughed), because the forms have been paid for and we’re going to share them and not sell” he noted.

He said, upon making a call to the committee to send in some of the forms, the people gathered outside the office began pelting stones which quickly ignited him to make calls to the Municipal Police Commander to send in men in uniform.

However,  he quickly remembered his official bodyguard and call him over to rescue him from the mob.

“ Later I remembered I have a bodyguard, I called him and he quickly came over to accustom me home”.

The MP, disclosed that he did not have any personal bodyguard apart from the official police bodyguard assigned to all members of parliament in the country.

“We all know that, all MP’s have official bodyguard in the country and I was walking with mine and I do not have any other bodyguard” he said.
