United States Vice President, Kamala Harris has departed Ghana for Tanzania, Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
As part of her three-African nation tour, Harris arrived in Ghana on Sunday, March 26, 2023.
During her three-day stay in Ghana, she met President Nana Akufo-Addo, attended a state banquet, and delivered an address to young people about innovation and women’s empowerment.
She also made a trip to the Cape Coast Castle in the Central Region of Ghana, where slaves were kept before they were shipped out to other countries.
She finally met with Ghanaian women business owners on Wednesday to speak about leadership and economic empowerment in Accra before continuing her trip to Tanzania.
Kamala Harris is expected to meet the President of Tanzania on Thursday, before her last visit to Zambia on Friday.
She is expected to finally return to the US on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
