Kan Dapaah sues Barker-Vormawor over bribery allegation

The Minister of National Security, Albert Kan Dapaah has sued the convener of the #FixTheCountry Movement, Oliver Barker-Vormawor for alleging that some government officials and the National Security offered him money and appointment to stop his activism against the ruling government.

Barker-Vormawor made the allegations on Friday, September 22, after he and others were released by the police for defying restraining orders to stage a demonstration in Accra.

In the suit sighted by myrepubliconline.com, Kan Dapaah is asking the court to declare that the words uttered by Barker-Vormawor are defamatory, apologize and retract of the words complained of Supra.

He is also demanding the sum of “Ten Million Ghana Cedis (GH¢10,000,000.00) as general damages including Aggravated and/or Exemplary Damages for Defamation for the words uttered by Defendant.”
