KNUST Level 300 student fatally hit by speeding vehicle

A level 300 Geography student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Afia Dedaa Osae-Atuah, has tragically passed away following a road accident in Kumasi.

A level 300 Geography student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Afia Dedaa Osae-Atuah, has tragically passed away following a road accident in Kumasi.

The incident occurred when a speeding commercial vehicle veered off the road, striking Osae-Atuah as she stood on a pedestrian pathway holding her faulty laptop.

Eyewitnesses report that the vehicle, which appeared to have lost control, not only hit the 22-year-old student but also knocked down another male pedestrian whose identity is yet to be confirmed. Both victims were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where Osae-Atuah succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. Meanwhile, tributes have begun pouring in for Osae-Atuah, described by her peers as a dedicated and promising student.
