Kwaku Osei Korankye Aseidu, widely known as KOKA, has been acquitted and discharged after facing charges of allegedly threatening gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy.
KOKA was brought before an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly demanding GHC 8,500 for previous work done, threatening the “Ote me mu” hitmaker if she did not comply after he was excluded from recent projects.
During a court appearance on September 26, both parties indicated that they were pursuing a settlement and requested bail to facilitate further discussions before the next adjourned date, which was today, October 23.
When the case was called today, both the prosecution and defense confirmed that the matter had been resolved, as previously mentioned.
KOKA’s lawyer, Norman Williams, informed the court that, as part of the agreement, certain Facebook posts made by KOKA had been deleted, along with an apology.
After hearing these submissions, the Presiding Judge, His Honour Kwabena Kodua Obiri-Yeboah, struck out the case and officially discharged Kwaku Osei Korankye Aseidu.
