Turkish Ambassador to Ghana, Mr Huseyin Gungor, has noted that the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital is the best in area of care delivery in Ghana.
He said that he was aware of some of the great things the Hospital has done and continues to do in the country.
To this end, Mr. Gungor said his country will be looking at areas that his country and the hospital can collaborate.
The Turkish Ambassador said this when he met the Ag. Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital, Dr. Frank Owusu-Sekyere and some directors.
The Ambassador and his team visited the Hospital in order to check on a Turkish citizen who is on admission here.
He was initially taken to Tema General Hospital but was later transferred to Korle Bu Teaching for further treatment due to the severity of his condition.
Upon arrival, Ambassador Gungor was briefed on the patient’s condition by the Ag. Director of Medical Affairs, Dr. Harry Akoto who he said was stable and recovering well.
Dr. Owusu-Sekyere gave an assurance that the necessary care will be provided to ensure the full recovery of the patient.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the excellent medical attention and promised to ensure the patient receives all necessary support.
On collaboration with Korle Bu, the Ambassador noted Turkish medical professionals have been working with the Hospital’s professionals.
He added that in areas such as laboratory services, both parties can look into partnership opportunities.
