Ms. Sophia Jim-Aryee, a Principal Nursing Officer (PNO) at the Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Centre, has presented toiletries and cash to patients and nurses at the Trauma female ward in Korle Bu.
PNO Jim-Aryee indicated that 10 years ago, she suffered a severe road accident, which almost cost her her life.
She couldn’t hold back her tears as she described the incident and how well the nurses and staff at the ward made her recovery process comfortable. The gesture was to appreciate the care given her years ago when she was admitted to the Trauma female ward.
The nurse in charge at the Trauma Unit, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (DCNO)Dora Kotey, received the gifts and thanked her for the kind gesture.
Ms. Jim-Aryee was accompanied by senior colleagues, DCNO Mavis Togbor and DCNO Mary Mensah, to make the donation.
