Captain of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Richard Boadu is set to move to Libyan club, Al Ahly SC, club has confirmed.
Kotoko announced on Friday morning, that it had reached an agreement with the Libyan side for the transfer of the midfielder on a permanent deal.
Boadu joined Kotoko from Medeama in the 2021/2022 league season on a three year deal, and since became an important part of the Kumasi based club.
Following his dedication and stellar performance for Kotoko, he was promoted to captain a year later.
The skipper leaves with the record number of tackles in the team and most duels won, scoring two goals with five assists and eight man of the match awards in his last season with the Club.
