Kumasi Asante Kotoko dropped points against Tamale City in the Betpawa Premier League after a 1-1 draw.
Kotoko travelled away to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium Wednesday afternoon to face Tamale City, who are 17th on the league table.
After having a good start in the first half, Kotoko failed to take the lead, thanks to the defense of the home team.
The Porcupine Warriors broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute through an effort from Steven Mukwala’s teasing low cross, which resulted in an own goal.
With Kotoko losing concentration, Tamale City’s Babamu Ibrahim got the equalizer just three minutes after the away team took the lead.
The results now take Kotoko to second on the table with 20 points, just one point behind league leaders Aduana Stars who will play today.
