Now in its sixth year, with the last four editions held in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority, “Yenko Kwahu” has grown into a signature cultural and tourism festival, attracting visitors and investors to Kwahu annually.

Speaking to Adom News ahead of the celebration, KPN President Richard Nyarko Sarpong emphasized the broader mission of the event: “Yenko Kwahu is not just a celebration. It’s an opportunity to create jobs, promote our culture, and increase tourism-related revenue. This initiative will not only bring in tourists but will significantly boost economic activities to improve development in Kwahu.”

KPN is a community-based professional network dedicated to uniting Kwahu professionals worldwide to support one another and give back to their roots.

Its slogan, “Help a Kwahu to Help a Kwahu” (HAKHAK), reflects its deep commitment to mutual support and regional development.

Participants in past editions of “Yenko Kwahu” have explored some of Kwahu’s most iconic sites, including Nkofieho Cave, Bruku Rock, Butuase and Oworobong Waterfalls, the Catholic Museum, the oldest palace in Kwahu (Aduamoah), and the Afram River Night Tour.

This year’s celebration promises an even richer cultural experience, featuring Kwahu cultural dance performances, a bonfire night, a visit to Freedom Falls, and a “Taste of Kwahu” culinary showcase at the Rock City Hotel in Nkwatia.
