Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton, has provided an update on Mohammed Kudus, indicating that he is still recovering from injury.
The 23-year-old has since last week not joined the Black Stars camp due to a hamstring injury.
However, in a post-match press conference yesterday, Chris Hughton said Kudus will join the team on Wednesday.
“With Kudus, we’ve been in regular communication with him and his club and he does have an injury, and he’s recovering from that injury and will join us tomorrow,” he stated.
This casts doubt on Kudus’s involvement in Ghana’s first game against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
The team will depart Ghana for Ivory Coast on Wednesday to continue their preparations for the tournament which will begin on January 13, 2024.
