The Phase two of the Kumasi Airport Project is expected to be completed in October 2022.

The Managing Director for Ghana Airports Company, Mr. Yaw Kwakwa disclosed that phase 3 of the project has been added to phase 2 and will be completed in 2022.

He explained that the phase two project is in two folds: Landside and Airside consisting of areas like the terminal building, car park, service utility, delivered area, taxiway, runaway strip, etc.

The Airport is expected to have a traditional and continental arrival hall.

The airport director made the reports during Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s inspection exercise at the airport.

After the inspection, Otumfuo urged the workers to put their all into the construction of the airport and focus on learning new inventions rather than money.

Asantehene said he is grateful for the fieldwork they are embarking on and added that work is hard is important in everything.
