The news, shared by Voice of KNUST on Facebook, quickly caught the attention of many Ghanaians, who flooded social media with congratulatory messages and words of encouragement.

For Matilda, this achievement is more than a personal milestone—it’s a message to her industry peers and young women across the country.

“According to her, this achievement is not just a personal one as it will inspire others in Kumawood to pursue higher education.”

Speaking in a brief interaction after her graduation ceremony, the actress expressed her joy, saying the journey was not easy, but with determination and prayer, she made it through. She added that combining academic work with family responsibilities and her acting career was challenging, but the goal kept her going.

Her story has resonated with many, especially fans of Kumawood, who see her success as a sign that it’s never too late to go back to school. In a film industry that often prioritizes fame over formal education, Matilda’s move is a breath of fresh air.

Fellow actors and producers have also shared messages of admiration, with some saying they are now motivated to consider furthering their education.

“This is not just a win for Matilda, but a win for Kumawood,” one fan commented on Facebook.

Matilda Asare has long been known not only for her comedic talent but also for her outspokenness on societal issues. Her latest academic achievement only deepens her influence and opens new opportunities for her in the corporate and creative worlds
