Three students of Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College in the Ashanti Region have been given a one-year suspension following a leaked sex tape.
The school’s administration made the decision after the video was released and widely shared on social media.
The school’s Public Relations Officer, Williams Adinkra, confirmed the incident to Kumasi-based radio, Otec FM on July 4, 2023, explaining that the incident happened off-campus, while the school was on vacation.
According to him, after deliberation with the students involved in the conduct, who admitted the offense, the school in accordance with the code of conduct of the Ministry of Health, handed the suspension to the students involved in the incident.
“The incident happened while the school was on vacation. When the video went viral, the disciplinary committee of the school met with the students involved, and they admitted to having committed the offense.
Therefore, the committee, decided that because they have breached the Ministry of Health’s code and conducts, they should be made to go home for one year,” he said.
He further explained that the third person, a student who shared the video, will be deboardinised after serving his one-year suspension.
“The third person got the video from the lady involved and demanded an amount of Ghc5,000 from her but after she could not meet the demands, he [third person] circulated the video.
“For the one who released the video, he is also suspended for one year but after serving the punishment, he will no longer continue as a boarding student. He will be coming to school from home.”

The two students involved in the incident are first-year Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College students in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The sex tape circulated on social media after another student who is a friend of the female took the video from her phone and threatened to release it if he is not giving an amount of Ghc5,000.
The third person released the sex-tape after the lady could not give him the amount requested.
