A tragic vehicular accident on the Nkawkaw-Atibie road early Saturday morning claimed the life of one person and left 62 others seriously injured.
The incident occurred around 4:05 AM on August 24th, involving a vehicle with the registration number GE 7652-15, which was carrying 63 football players.
Emergency responders from the Nkawkaw Fire Station, along with support from the Nkawkaw Motor, Traffic, and Transport Department and the National Paramedic team, worked tirelessly to rescue the victims and minimize casualties. Five individuals who were trapped in the wreckage were successfully extricated.
The injured were promptly transported to Holy Family Hospital and Kenop Care Hospital for urgent medical attention.
The devastating accident has left the football community and the entire region in shock and mourning.
