The Kwahu Praso Rural Bank in kwahu, Eastern Region of Ghana has donated to the Bless the Children international home in Nkwatia.
As part of their cooperate responsibilities, the bank, as per their visions, policies and goals, has extended their hand to the needy.
Addressing a team of media men, the entire operators of the orphanage home and the staff of the Bank, CEO of the Bank, Madam Lucy Opoku Arthur stressed the need to embark on such tremendous act of giving.
In her speech, she revealed that, the board of directors and management of Bank, as per the year ending decided to reach out to the needy.
The CEO noted that, since the orphanage falls within their jurisdictions of their operations, they decided to opt for the Bless the Children international home and, hence, this is the first time the bank is embarking on reaching out to orphanage homes.
“The bank has a vision and goals and as part of our social responsibility, we chose Bless the Children international home. We have done other things, but this is the first of its kind and there are more to follow”. She said.
Receiving the donations on the behalf of the children, head of the orphanage home, Rev Jeremiah Yeboah acknowledged the efforts of the Bank.
“We are so happy for this. May God bless you and the kind of gesture you’ve showed us today. It’s my prayer that, God will open many doors for you and that you will reap whatever you’ve sowed on this children”
The list of items included 10 bags of rice, 2 cartons of cooking oil, 3 cartons of tin fish, 3 cartons of tin tomatoes, 4 boxes of soap n detergents, 2 pcs of T roll, 5 cartons of soft drinks and Nose masks amounting to GHC 4000.00, and a Cash amount of GHC 2000.00 was also given.
Taking her turn to advise the children, Madam Lucy Opoku Arthur advised the children to be humble, self tolerant and obedient as they go through the stages of life.
According to her, when they are grown up, they cast their minds back to how they started and also lend a helping hand.
She further advocated on the kids to take their studies and education more serious so as to grow and become future leaders.
