The Praso Rural Bank, a Public Liability Financial institution, has held the 2nd edition of its Nine Lessons and Carols at Kwahu-Praso on Sunday, December 18, to end the 2022 financial year.

The Chairman for the Occasion who as well serves as the Board Chairman of the Kwahu Praso Rural Bank PLC, Lawyer J. K Boakye – Mensah while delivering an acceptance note advised the staff and, guest present and the Management Board of the Bank to continue and uphold their Christian values.

He also urged the management and the staff to always foster their engagement to ensure the progress of the bank. Mr Boakye – Mensah used the opportunity and commended the staff and the Board for their resounding contributions to the bank as it prepares to bring the year to an ample end.

“Let me, first of all, ask why we’re here. Why are we here? 9 Lessons and Carols, who are we holding this event for? An ordinary year has 365 days and others have 366 days, and from January 1 to December 18, what has God done for you? Why are you still alive, why are you not sick? From what I know, every Christian must praise God every day of their lives. If Kwahu Praso Rural Bank some 40 years ago was collapsed, and today, we’ve been able to revive the Bank which now tops the second on the list of Rural Banks in Ghana, and even hold the 1st position before, what would you do if you were a staff? I’m not sure anyone can say they haven’t been paid at the end of the month. What I can say is that all of you are doing extremely tremendous. Do well to foster your engagement with the management and work hard in 2023 so the bank can also reward you appropriately. I’m expecting that, by the management report in 2023, every worker would execute what is expected of them. Support the CEO, Mrs Lucy Arthur so the Board can also testify that we’re helping you. Our vision is to lead the Rural Banking sector and ensure discipline amongst our employees. This is the second edition of our 9 Lessons and Carols, it’s because of your hard work and dedication, that’s why we’ve been able to reach this stage“, he quoted.

Speaking in an interview with Republic Press’s Andy Frimpong Manso, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mrs Lucy Arthur added that the board decided to hold the second edition of the 9 Lessons and Carols after its successful start last year.

” The board and management Last year decided to hold its first edition of the Carols night. Our main aim is to engage with other Christian unions to preserve our Christian values and also thank God for his protection and favour. The bank is still surviving, therefore, we must be grateful for God’s intervention and that’s why we are holding the 2nd edition of 9 Lessons and Carols night“, she added.

She indicated that unity and effective collaborations and teamwork have contributed to the progress of the Bank. She revealed that the bank added up cash and donated funds made from last year’s edition of the 9 Lessons and Carols night was donated to the Nkwatia orphanage home. She stated that this year’s funds made from the Carols’ night will be donated to charity.

She indicated that the bank has trained its marketing team going onto the 2023 financial year. The bank will offer financial education and customer relations to Shore up their financial status.

The CEO added that the bank will introduce “Drive and Pay” as a new product in 2023.

“We’re still working on our products for 2023. We’ve trained our marketing team. We’d be providing financial support and education, and customer relations to our customers to aid them in stabilizing their business and financial status. We’re introducing a new product next, we will have what we call the “Drive and pay”. We want to help the drivers. The bank will refill a driver’s tank, where we’ll have terms and conditions that allow the driver to pay in instalments. Kwahuman should expect the best of products and services from us in 2023 and anywhere we have branches. We’re saying that drivers should come for fuel and pay later. And doing so, we have the other existing products such as Assets Finance. If it’s home appliances, land, vehicle, TV and fridge, just come to us, and we’ll assist“,

She entreated the general public to cultivate the habit of saving to ensure financial freedom.

The CEO while adding her goodwill message wished its customers the best of Christmas festivities and called on them to ply their trade with the Kwahu Praso Rural Bank PLC. She commended the Board, staff and management team for their immense ideas and contributions that have sustained the Bank to this level.
