The Kwahu Traditional Council has stated that it will go ahead and defy all odds to launch the much anticipated Kwahu State Book as scheduled.
According to Mr. Martin Ameyaw, while speaking to Kwame Koranteng on Republic FM’s Anopa Dawuro on Wednesday, April 13, program consultant who spoke on behalf of the Kwahu Traditional Council stated that until a court of competent jurisdiction summons the Kwahuman Hene Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong I, the council will go ahead and launch the book.
“The program will go on, and I’m urging everybody to come in their numbers. There’s no injunction and calling on everyone to come this Saturday”.
According to reports, Mr. Kwaku Baah and his counterparts has summoned the Kwahuman Hene, demanding that the Nkawkaw High Court restricts the Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong from holding the book launch because, in their minds, Professor Badu Akosa is the only person they know to be the Kwahuman Hene.
“We have heard opanyin Kwaku Baah and some people have summoned Daasebre and some dignitaries concerning the book launch and they are saying, to them, Kwahuman Hene is not their King, whom they know according to them is Professor Badu Akosa is the Kwahuman Hene and so Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong cannot launch the Kwahu state book”.
The Kwahu Traditional Council through its legal team, Baako Apem Chambers has released a press statement discrediting the supposed court injunction and stating categorically that it has not in any form received court summons or injunction against the Kwahuman Hene and the launch of the Kwahu state book.
