Other ancillary projects were a new KG block for Kokompe Presby Basic School. The new KG block for Kokompe Basic School will have a sick bay, toilet and a rest-room for the kids to replace the existing dilapidated structure. A mechanized borehole will also be constructed for the school to ease the overreliance on community boreholes.

A new KG block is also under construction for Salvation Basic School which will come with toilet, sick bay, rest room and a mechanized borehole.

A whole new school edifice will be constructed for residents at Nanchia, starting from KG, primary and junior high school level. The new school will also have teachers quarters and a school park.

The MCE in addition, has cut sod for the construction of an Ambulance Service office along the Nkawkaw Highway to address accident emergency challenges. He said, next year, a clinic will be added to the Ambulance Service office which will serve as first aid center.

Mr. Tamimu further added that, his office will partner private firms to undertake major infrastructural projects in the Municipality, including the establishment of a public cemetery for Nkawkaw.

He stated that the Nkawkaw DVLA will be built an office complex to ease the pressure it currently faces due to unavailability of an official office for the agency.

The Chief of Fodoa commended the John Mahama-led administration for undertaking such a localized initiative to improve the lives of persons living in rural communities.

He called on the government and the MCE to convert Fodoa’s Community Day SHS to a fully-fledged Boarding school to help alleviate the increasing spate of teenage pregnancies within the school and the community.

He requested the MCE to support the lighting system in Fodoa and its environs to curb the rate of darkness that engulfs areas in the community.  On electricity, Nana Adu Asante urged the MCE to, on behalf of the community replace the existing Transformer due to its incapability of sharing load to homes in the area, which usually fluctuates power supply.

Mr. Tamimu stated that his office has formally written to the Regional Coordinating Council to support flooding issues in Kwahu West, specifically, the new station area, which is capital intensive project. He has reaffirmed the John Mahama-led administration’s commitment to safeguarding and ensuring development in every parts of the country.
