The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly under the leadership of, Lawyer Yaw Owusu Addo has embarked on 1-day community engagement within the Nkawkaw Municipality.
The engagement was aimed at establishing a cordial, strong and communicated bond between the people and the staff of the Assembly to erroneously assess and address the issues bothering the communities in the municipality.
The MCE, Lawyer Yaw Owusu Addo on his part, stated that roads within the Nkawkaw – Trado enclave will be given a very good face-lift once the 18-kilometer road promised him by the Central government is made available.
Some of the residents of the Trado community complained to the MCE of the recent rampant robberies happening in the community and called on the MCE to intervene in improving the security in the community.
The MCE, also charged the residents to be bold and confront the charlatans who have been stealing menial kitchen items from their household.
He said, such people who are identified as scrap dealers must be apprehended and be taken to the chiefs for interrogation and proper questioning.
He further said, a collaborative effort will be initiated by himself to the Divisional police to train individuals in the community to assist the police in Community vigilantism.
Similar process occurred at Akuajoo where the MCE interacted with the chief and elders and the community folks.
He assured that, the newly abandoned but completed market will once again be opened for the market women to ply their trades.
He stated, the town road linking to the main Nkawkaw central and its adjoining areas will be the first to be constructed once the central government okays the promised 18-kilometer roads for the Kwahu West Municipality.
On his part, the Presiding member of the Kwahu West, Mr. Boansi Dankwa implored the people to be more conversant with their various Assembly members as a matter of urgency to present their grievances in order to be resolved concurrently.
Akuajoo Hemaa, Nana Sarpong Kumankuma appealed to the MCE to intervene in the construction of the Akuajoo – Trado deplorable roads.
She expressed her excitement to the MCE and the Assembly’s commitment to the development of Nkawkawman.
She further called on the Assembly member to as well collaborate with the traditional leaders within the Nkawkaw Akuajoo – Trado area to fasten developmental coordination on behalf of the people.
