Helena Aboagye, a 70-year-old woman is seeking help to retrieve her four bedroom house which her only daughter, Vera had connived with her boyfriend to sell.
The retired teacher who had been involved in a pedestrian accident, said a close friend informed her that the home she had built and registered in her daughter’s name had been sold.
With tears down her cheeks, the retiree indicated that she confronted Vera who initially denied the allegations but upon further probe, it became clear that in connivance with her boyfriend she sold off the house for GH¢60,000.
She said Vera used the money to fund her travel to the US but has returned to Ghana and now lives in Accra.
According to Madam Helena, the house has been rented out but she wants it back.
When contacted on claims made by her mother, Vera simply stated that the issue was before some family elders.
