The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel A. Jinapor has autographed a jersey of the Ghana Black Stars as the national men’s team prepare to face Comoros tonight.

Ghana is taking on Comoros in their final match of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon 2021) taking place in Cameroon.

Mr. Jinapor autographed the jersey in the studios of Ghana Television (GTV) in Accra on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 following his interview with broadcast journalist Thelma Tackie on the station’s ‘Breakfast Show.’

The Minister did not only sign the jersey but seized the opportunity to showcase his soccer talent to GTV staff as he wished the Black Stars the best of luck in the Afcon 2021.

The Black Stars of Ghana are going into the game against Comoros with only one point from their two previous games.

Ghana lost their opening match against Morocco on a 1-0 scoreline.

The Black Stars suffered a major heartbreak after a late equalizer from Gabon snatching their winning opportunity after captain Andrew Ayew had given the team the lead with his superb first half strike.

A potential 2-0 win for Ghana today over Comoros and a defeat for Gabon against Morocco could see the Black Stars finishing second and qualifying for the next round of the Afcon 2021.

The Afcon 2021 host, Cameroon, has already qualified for the next round of the competition with seven points from her three Group A matches. Nigeria, Morocco and Burkina Faso have equally qualified for the next stage of the tournament.
