Lands Ministry hands over vehicles to GFIP for project operational activities

The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources in charge of Lands and Forestry, Benito Owusu-Bio, has on behalf of the Sector Minister, Mr. Samuel A. Jinapor, commissioned and handed over the first batch of 8 vehicles out of a total of 13 vehicles to the Ghana Forest Investment Programme(GFIP) on Thursday, 27th January, 2022 at the Forestry Commission, Achimota depot.

The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources in charge of Lands and Forestry, Benito Owusu-Bio, has on behalf of the Sector Minister, Mr. Samuel A. Jinapor, commissioned and handed over the first batch of 8 vehicles out of a total of 13 vehicles to the Ghana Forest Investment Programme(GFIP) on Thursday, 27th January, 2022 at the Forestry Commission, Achimota depot.

He reveled that these vehicles were received from donor partners of the Ministry to support the implementation of the Ghana Forest Investment Programme (GFIP) under the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.

The Deputy Minister on behalf of Samuel A. Jinapor thanked the World Bank for their continuous support to the sustainable development and management of the natural resources of our country as well as poverty alleviation in Ghana.

He went on to assure the donors that the vehicles will be used specifically for the purpose for which they have been procured.

The Deputy CEO of the Forestry Commission, Mr. Sulemana Nyadia received these vehicles on behalf of the CEO of the Commission, Mr. John Allotey and thanked the Ministry for the support, assuring that they will maintain the vehicles and use it for the intended purpose.
