A young man has fallen from the fourth floor of Mensah Sarbah Hall [Annex A] of the University of Ghana, Legon over fears of being sacked by hall authorities.

The unidentified man is reported to have jumped from one of the rooms he was lodging on the fourth floor at 1:30am Friday morning.

According to Radio Universe, the young man who is believed to be a former resident of the hall and currently undertaking his National Service was illegally residing on the campus of the University of Ghana.

Authorities of the University are yet to speak on the matter.

How it happened

An eyewitness who spoke to UniversNews narrated that:

“There was allegation of theft on his floor and the boys on the floor were going round in search of the items. They got to his room and were banging the door so hard that members in the room assumed it was hall officials banging on the door on the tip off that they were keeping a percher. Just to save himself and the boys helping him, he jumped.”
