Let’s help plant more trees to save lives – Pentecost Pastor

The Pentecost International Worship Center (A Ministry Of The Church Of Pentecost- Bompata Area) In Collaboration with National Sports Authority have involved in the nationwide tree planting initiative “Green Ghana Project” by planting 16,000 trees on Friday, June 11 at Baba Yara Sports Stadium to enable the government achieve it greening agenda.

The Bompata Area Pastor for Church Of Pentecost, Pastor Joshua Kwabena Donkor, said, it is the responsibilities of the church to assist the government in championing such project, since it will be beneficial to the life of mankind.

They managed to plant four species of plants today at the stadium to provide shade for the football lovers and to beautify the place.

According to Pastor Joshua Kwabena Donkor, the church will provide sprinklers to the members to regularly water the plants for it to be sustainable.

This ambitious project saw a concerted and collaborative effort to plant over 5 million trees across the country to preserve the environment, and salvage the country’s depleted trees.

If implemented, it means Ghana will regain one-third of the over 1.31 million-hectares of lost forest reserves.
