The Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Hon. Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu, has donated a range of essential medical equipment to the Oyarifa Health Center in Oyarifa, a community within the constituency.
The donation forms part of the MP’s ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery in the area. Speaking during a brief ceremony to hand over the equipment, Hon. Sosu reaffirmed his commitment to expanding the health facility from now until 2028. He urged the facility’s management to conduct a thorough medical needs assessment to ensure that future supplies are distributed appropriately to boost healthcare services.
The Municipal Health Director for the La-Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly, Dr. Afua Commey, expressed appreciation on behalf of the health directorate. She praised the MP’s continuous support and assured him that the equipment would be properly maintained and utilized to benefit the community.
In addition to the health-related support, the MP also donated sanitary pads to three schools in the constituency — Teiman Anglican School, Oyarifa Presbyterian School, and Pantang School — as part of his initiative to promote menstrual hygiene among school girls.
The donations have been warmly received by residents and stakeholders, who commended the MP for his dedication to improving both healthcare and education in the Madina Constituency.
