President John Dramani Mahama has commenced his much-anticipated Thank You Tour, making his first stop in Goaso. During this visit which aims to express gratitude to constituents for their support, Mahama has placed a strong emphasis on road development in the region.

Addressing a gathering of local leaders and residents in Goaso, Mahama directed the Minister for Roads and Highways to prioritize the completion of the Maaban-Goaso Highway, a critical route that has been a focal point of concern for commuters and businesses alike. The President underscored the importance of this highway in facilitating trade and improving access to essential services for the residents of Ahafo.

In addition to the Maaban-Goaso Highway, President Mahama also called for urgent attention to be given to urban roads within the Ahafo Region. He acknowledged the challenges residents face due to poor road conditions and reiterated his commitment to ensuring that infrastructure development remains a priority if given the opportunity to serve again.

The Thank You Tour is expected to cover several regions, with Mahama aiming to engage with the electorate, listen to their concerns, and outline his vision for the future. As the tour unfolds, many are eager to see how Mahama’s proposed initiatives will shape the development agenda in Ahafo and other regions across the country.

Local leaders and residents have welcomed the President’s visit and his commitment to addressing their infrastructural needs, expressing hope that these initiatives will lead to improved living conditions and economic opportunities in the region.
