President John Dramani Mahama underscored the importance of the National Economic Dialogue, stating that it is more than just a symbolic exercise or the fulfillment of a campaign promise.

Speaking at the opening session of the Dialogue, President Mahama emphasized that this gathering is a crucial step in resetting Ghana’s economy, restoring confidence, and building a prosperous future ¹.

“This is a decisive moment in our collective responsibility to shape Ghana’s economic trajectory,” President Mahama noted. “The choices we make today will determine the course of our economy for generations to come.”

The National Economic Dialogue, themed “Resetting Ghana, building the economy we want together,” aims to bring together key stakeholders to engage in honest, solution-driven discussions about the challenges and opportunities facing Ghana’s economy ².

President Mahama stressed that this theme reflects the shared commitment to creating an economy that is resilient, inclusive, and built on sustainable growth.

He invited all stakeholders to contribute their ideas and dedication to this national effort ³.

The two-day dialogue will feature thematic sessions focused on achieving macroeconomic stability, promoting economic transformation, advancing infrastructure development, implementing structural reforms, and combating corruption.
