Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) party, John Dramani Mahama, will today, March 7, meet the National Executive Committee (NEC) to deliberate on his running mate presented to them.

This comes after Mr. Mahama submitted a letter to the party regarding the nomination of his running mate, which is in accordance with Article 45 of the NDC Constitution.

Upon receipt of the letter, the NDC announced in a statement on February 27, that its executive committee and council of elders will hold a crunch meeting to discuss John Mahama’s chosen running mate.

In a social media post on Thursday, March 7, Mahama expressed his excitement about presenting his running mate to the executives.

“Excited to meet with the NDC National Executive Committee and the Council of Elders to present my nominee for Running Mate as we prepare for the elections in December,” he said.

He continued by saying that the NDC, united in its efforts, is ready to put in hard work to guarantee a prosperous future for every Ghanaian.

“Together, we will work tirelessly to advance the interests of the Ghanaian people and build a prosperous future for all,” he added.
