The service brought together religious leaders, government officials, diplomats, and invited guests for a moment of reflection and prayer for the nation.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Mahama expressed gratitude for the peace and stability the country has maintained over the past year. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to good governance, economic renewal, and social progress as Ghana enters the second year of his tenure.

“This thanksgiving is not just about looking back on what we have achieved, but also about seeking guidance and strength as we continue the work of national renewal,” President Mahama said.

The event, themed “Resetting. Rebuilding. Renewing.”, showcased Ghana’s diverse religious and cultural heritage, with prayers and blessings offered for unity, development, and national cohesion.

President Mahama also highlighted the importance of inclusive governance, urging all citizens to participate actively in the country’s development. He reassured Ghanaians that the administration remains focused on policies aimed at improving livelihoods and fostering sustainable growth.

The thanksgiving service is part of a series of activities commemorating the anniversary of his swearing-in on January 7, 2025, following the December 2024 general election. It serves as a moment for national reflection and collective prayer, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to a prosperous and united Ghana.
