Mahama mourns late NDC NEC member

Former President John Mahama has joined others to mourn the late Araba Tagoe, a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Former President John Mahama has joined others to mourn the late Araba Tagoe, a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Madam Araba Tagoe, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 whiles receiving treatment at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital in the Central Region.

In a Facebook post, Mr. Mahama said the party was hoping that she recovered just after she battled a short illness.

He described her as someone who served the party diligently.

“Lordina and I are saddened by the news of the death of Aunty Araba Tagoe, a dear friend, an activist of the NDC, and member of the national executive committee of our party.

Araba laid down her life for the NDC in many ways, and the party will surely miss her.
Araba had been unwell for a short while, and we had all hoped for a full recovery. Unfortunately that didn’t happen,” he wrote.
He expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the late Araba Tagoe and all NDC members.

“We mourn and extend our deepest sympathies to her family, her son, the Central and Western Region Caucuses of the party and the entire NDC party. May her soul rest in perfect peace.”
