President John Dramani Mahama has officially approved a new set of appointments to the Office of the Vice President.
The selected individuals, announced on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, are expected to bring extensive experience and expertise to their respective roles, contributing significantly to the “Resetting Ghana” agenda aimed at national development.
Leading the appointments is Alex Percival Segbefia, who will serve as Chief of Staff to the Vice President, ensuring the effective coordination of the office’s activities. Mrs. Alberta Graham has been named Head of Administration, while Professor Thereseah Ennin takes on the role of Presidential Staffer and Special Aide to the Vice President.
Additionally, Ms. Daniella Mavis Mathias has been appointed Secretary to the Vice President, while Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo will serve as Political Policy Adviser. Economic policy will be guided by Prof. Sharif Mahmud Khalid and Dr. Hamza Zakaria, both appointed as Economic Policy Advisers.
To oversee financial policies, Ms. Mansa Amoa Awuah has been appointed Policy Adviser for Finance, while Dr. Miriam Rahinatu Iddrisu will focus on Social Sector Policies. Rounding off the team is Maame Ama Pratt, who takes up the role of Press Secretary, managing communications for the Vice President’s office.
In a statement, Acting Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, emphasized the importance of these appointments in ensuring a strong and efficient office to support governance and policy implementation.
He noted that the team is expected to play a crucial role in advancing the administration’s vision for national development.
