Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has unveiled an initiative aimed at incentivizing teachers to work in rural and underserved communities.
To tackle the persistent issue of teacher shortages in these areas, Mahama has committed to introducing a special allowance amounting to 20 percent of basic salary for teachers who accept postings in these communities.
