President John Dramani Mahama has returned to Ghana after attending the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, where African and international leaders gathered to discuss key development issues facing the continent.
The summit was jointly hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron and focused on critical areas such as energy transition, healthcare transformation and the strengthening of African financial institutions.
During the event, President Mahama participated in high-level discussions on energy and green transition policies aimed at promoting sustainable development across Africa.
He also joined a strategic session on African financial institutions and co-chaired discussions on improving healthcare systems on the continent.
On the sidelines of the summit, President Mahama held bilateral meetings with several global leaders and international organisations.
These included talks with International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, officials of the African Continental Free Trade Area and representatives of the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
The engagements highlighted Ghana’s commitment to international partnerships, economic transformation and sustainable development initiatives.
