The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has praised Professor Jane Naana Opkoku Agyemang after the party officially announced her as the running mate on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
The event, which took place at the Kofi Ohene Konadu Auditorium at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), saw top party officials converge for the special outdooring ceremony to signify massive endorsement for Prof. Jane Naana.
Mr. Mahama described her as a woman of integrity, who will make a mark on Ghana’s development.
He emphasized that Jane Naana was the best choice to partner with him in their quest to lead Ghana to where Ghanaians want it to be.
“If there was any indication of intent to think outside the box to be innovative and use our best human resources to deliver the Ghana we all want, then it is in my choice in Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as my running mate,” he said.
“As my running mate and potential Vice President of Ghana going into the 2024 elections, I do not doubt this as her globally acclaimed credentials attest to that. Naa Jane is a woman of unquestionable integrity and whose reputation for honesty and ethical behaviour is unparalleled.”
He expressed faith in her capacity to work with him in their efforts to combat corruption and restore integrity to the government.
“She is a woman, who will accept responsibility and bring honesty and truth back to the Office of the Vice President. With Naana Jane as my Vice President, Ghana can be assured that an NDC government led by me, President John Dramani Mahama, will fight corruption and restore the absence of accountability that is the current hallmark of this government.
“We will work tirelessly to ensure transparency, accountability and justice for all and not just a few.”
