The twelve [12] million dollars Yilo Krobo Municipal Hospital at Somanya in the Eastern region has been left in the wilderness since its completion in July 2021.
The 80-bed fully furnished Hospital which was completed in early 2021 has been left idle while residents in Somanya and adjoining communities struggle to access health care.
Residents in the area expressed worry over the pressure and lack of space on the existing health centre in the area which serves people in Somanya and its adjoining communities.
The residents who suspects the refusal of government not to operationalise the hospital said it is political hence called on the government to open the hospital for people to receive healthcare.
