Security personnel at Parliament House apprehended a man on Wednesday, December 18 after he vandalized four vehicles with an axe concealed in his outfit.

According to eyewitness reports, the man arrived on the premises early in the day and began the attack before being intercepted.

During his arrest, the suspect claimed that he was “sent by God” to carry out the destructive act.

Authorities have since taken him into custody for further questioning. The damaged vehicles are undergoing assessment, and investigations are ongoing to determine the motives and mental state of the assailant.

No injuries were reported, and Parliament’s security team has been commended for their swift response to the incident.
