A severe rainstorm that swept through Twifo Praso, the district capital of Twifo Atti Morkwa, has left a resident, Mr. Joel Kuwonu Adzi, in critical condition at the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Hospital.
The incident occurred during a heavy downpour when strong winds ripped off roofs and caused structural damage across the town. Mr. Adzi, who had sought shelter in a building, was struck by a falling roofing sheet, which inflicted a deep wound on his head.
Eyewitnesses and Good Samaritans rushed him to the hospital, where doctors have since been working to stabilize his condition.
However, medical officials indicate that he requires urgent surgery and further treatment to recover fully.
Faced with mounting medical expenses, Mr. Adzi and his family are appealing to the general public, philanthropic organizations, and NGOs for financial assistance.
While the hospital has provided initial care, additional funds are needed to cover surgery and other essential medical costs.
Relatives and well-wishers are calling for swift support, emphasizing that any contribution, no matter how small—can help save Mr. Adzi’s life.
