A 28-year-old man identified as Kweku, who allegedly threatened to kill his grandmother has died while in police custody at Techimantia in the Tano South Municipality of the Ahafo Region.
The grandmother is said to have reported the matter to the police leading to his arrest.
It is alleged that Kweku was assaulted by the police when he was arrested.
He is reported to have not been fed for a day making him weak. He was rushed to the Techimantia Government hospital to receive treatment but did not survive.
The police are investigating the matter surrounding his death.
