Mawuenam Foundation Ministry fetes orphans at Teshie Children’s Home

The Mawuenam Foundation Ministry led by Apostle Cephas Mawuenam Awudzi has organized an extraordinary New Year party for Orphans at the Teshie Children’s Home in Accra.

This forms part of the yearly parties usually being organized by Mawuenam Foundation Ministry across the country for Orphans.

This year’s celebration with the Orphans at the Teshie Children’s Home was well attended by members of the Foundation and Religious leaders who mingled with the Orphans and eat with them.

Activities such as dancing competitions and other games were among the side attention for the day.

Addressing the children, Apostle Cephas Mawuenam Awudzi in charge of Mawuenam Foundation Ministry encouraged the Orphans to see God as their father and mother.

He entreated them to take their studies seriously in other to become important personalities in the country.

“In God, you are not orphans. God would be with you all the time and support you. Some of you are future Presidents and lawyers, “ he stated.

He assured of Mawuenam Foundation Ministry’s support to orphans in the country and called on other religious leaders to join them to put smiles on orphans and widows in the country.

The Administrator of the Teshie Children’s Home, Mr. Moses Lankwei Lamptey thanked Mawuenam Foundation Ministry for their kind gesture and appealed to Ghanaians and philanthropists to support the home financially.

Mr. Lamptey said often, people support the orphanage home with foodstuff but “our greatest challenge now is money to pay bills, school fees and take care of their health needs.”

He said the home which was established 27 years ago by Mrs. Janet Anyeley Parker, has provided care and fathered hundreds of children who are now building their careers and contributing meaningfully to society.

The Teshie Children’s Home which is located behind the Teshie Police Station now has 23 orphans, made up of 13 boys and 10 girls who are attending various schools at 37 and other private schools in the community.
