The distinguished entourage included Veteran actor Fred Amugi, celebrated actors Chris Attoh and Peter Ritchie, budding actress Princess Fathia Nkrumah, Ghanaian film critic Tony Asankoma, and MK Casting Executive Secretary, Esther Kumawu.

During the meeting, Nana Dwomoh-Doyen Benjamin highlighted the significance of the Artios Award win, not just for Ghana but for the entire African continent. He emphasized that the team had long been working towards establishing a Pan-African creative economy, and this victory was a strategic milestone in that mission.

He further announced that in the coming days, the team would be engaging African High Commissions in Ghana to foster collaborative efforts and advance the vision of a Pan-African creative industry, comparable to how Hollywood serves America’s creative interests. He called on the NFA to play a pivotal role in realizing this vision.

In response, Madam Kafui Danku expressed gratitude for the visit and assured the team of her commitment to the growth of Ghana’s creative sector.

She welcomed their collaboration and emphasized the need for collective efforts to strengthen the industry.

Adding his voice, Uncle Fred Amugi encouraged Madam Danku to be resolute in her leadership, affirming that her appointment was divinely ordained amid many qualified candidates.

Chris Attoh pledged the full support of the industry, urging her to share her vision so that stakeholders could work together towards its success.

Princess Fathia Nkrumah acknowledged the challenges ahead but encouraged her to persevere. Peter Ritchie also assured her of his readiness to contribute to her success. Tony Asankoma promised constructive critique to ensure her tenure benefits the industry.

The star of the moment, Mawuko Kuadzi, reaffirmed the importance of his Artios win, promising to use the networks and opportunities gained to advance the Ghanaian film industry. He assured the NFA of his availability whenever his expertise is needed.

Wrapping up the meeting, Kofi Adinkra, Head, Business Development and Marketing at the NFA, thanked the delegation for their visit and reaffirmed the NFA’s open-door policy, promising continued engagement to strengthen the creative sector.

The meeting marked a significant step in fostering collaboration between Ghana’s film industry stakeholders and the NFA, setting the stage for a strengthened creative economy with global impact.
