MIME Awards Africa opens entry for various award categories

Africa’s entertainment and media sector—especially in Ghana,Nigeria and South Africa—has grown in leaps and bounds over the last two decades as artists have risen from relative international obscurity to global recognition.

Africa’s entertainment and media sector—especially in Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa—has grown in leaps and bounds over the last two decades as artists have risen from relative international obscurity to global recognition.

The music and movie industry largely contributes to the growth of the Entertainment and media sector. In Nigeria for instance, music is the fastest-growing E&M sector, behind the internet.

A massive part of the key actions that will help unlock value for the entertainment and media sector are industry initiatives that rewards and drives competition in industry.

The Merit In Movies and Entertainment Awards Africa (MIME AFRICA) seeks to be a major reference point in recognising and rewarding the best across Africa and will be used as platform to raise the profile of African and international entertainers and content producers of African descent.

Speaking at a the media launch over the week monitored by Attractivemustapha.com, the CEO of the awards Eunice Oheneba Asiedu announced the introduction of the MERIT IN MOVIES AND ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS AFRICA.

She added in a statement that , The engagement kickstarts their activities for the year.

On behalf of our team, we are pleased to also announced that, this event marks the beginning of our “CALL TO ENTRY” in the awards across the various announced categories.

MIME AFRICA is the biggest celebration of today’s outstanding film, entertainment content and personalities. Bringing together top Ghanaian and African celebrities, top on-air personalities, music acts, DJ’s and audio-visual effects to create an atmosphere of intense celebrations and top end fun.

#MIME AFRICA Awards live television broadcast starts with a fashion grand ball and the awarding of the “Most Fashionable” personality on partner TV radio channels as well streamed live online.
