The Ministry of Health has hosted the World Bank Implementation Support Mission for the Ghana COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness and Response Project and the Ghana Primary Health Care Investment Program for Results (PforR), reaffirming its commitment to deepening collaboration and strengthening the delivery of both projects.
In his address, the Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, expressed sincere appreciation for the World Bank’s ongoing dedication, technical guidance, and support to Ghana’s health sector.
He emphasized the Ministry’s openness and readiness to engage fully throughout the mission, noting that the engagement provides an important opportunity to strengthen systems and reinforce the partnership driving progress in the sector.
The Minister assured the Task Team Leader of the Ministry’s strong commitment to ensuring a productive and successful mission. He encouraged active participation from all stakeholders, highlighting that their insights and expertise are critical to achieving the mission’s objectives.
The World Bank’s Team Lead commended the Ministry for its continued cooperation. She stressed the importance of following established processes and maintaining open dialogue to ensure alignment on next steps.
She expressed confidence that continued collaboration would lead to stronger outcomes and improved implementation of the health projects.
