The Ministry of Information has organized the maiden edition of the Regional Town Hall Meetings and Exhibitions at the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) Hall in Accra.
Under the theme “Regional Revitalization: Government’s Commitment to Growth, Development and Prosperity”, the meeting, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council (GARCC) is to foster citizen engagement and take feedback for policy implementation and also to ensure accountability and participatory governance.
The Minister for Finance, Honourable Amin Adam and the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Nii Kwartei Titus Glover made presentations on the gains made on the economy and outlined numerous development and infrastructural projects under the Akufo-Addo led administration in the region.
The event featured exhibitions showcasing governments initiatives and projects in various sectors of the economy including infrastructure, roads, health care and education.
The Minister for Information, Hon. Fatimatu Abubakar was optimistic that through open dialogue and collaborations with Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and the general public, the Ministry will be able to strengthen the bond between citizens and the government, ultimately driving progress and development in every part of Ghana.
