The Minority in Parliament will file a motion to impeach Ken Ofori-Atta, the Finance Minister.
Over 80 majority members initially called on the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to sack the Finance Minister.
According to them, failure by the president to heed to their call will compel them sit out of government business and the 2023 budget hearing.
The development comes amid a worsening economic downturn in the country as the Ministry looks to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a crucial bailout.
According to the Minority, a total of 183 votes are needed for the impeachment of the Finance Minister to take effect.
In addition, the Minority is also calling for the Governor of Bank of Ghana, Dr Ernest Addison to be relieved of his position as well.
