A lady identified as Obroni, a contestant of Miss Golden Stool 2022 on Sunday, November 27, 2022, swooned on stage after emerging as the first runner-up.
In a viral video on social media, Obroni who was presented with a check of five thousand cedis and a sash for being the first runner-up collapsed as her expectation was not met.
According to reports, she had very high hopes to be crowned as the winner after she allegedly invested 20,000 Ghana cedis into voting.
Miss Golden Stool 2022 hosted by Adom Tv’s Tima KumKum and held at the Accra International Conference Center saw great performances from gospel artists, Obaapa Christy, JAYANA and Highlife artist Kwaisey Pee.
Miss Golden Stool is a culturally inclined beauty pageant that seeks to nurture and groom a bevy of young ladies who will use their Physical Beauty, Intellect and Extensive Knowledge of their Culture to affect lives positively and with an emphasis on culturally promoting the development of the Akan Regions in areas of Sanitation, Tourism, Health and other Social and Economic issues that bothers on the Akan Communities and Ghana in general.
Miss Golden Stool is organized to project the Rich Culture and Traditional Values & Heritage of the Akan people of Ghana.
