Ghanaian Footballer, Mohammed Kudus has won the top most awards at the 47th edition of the Sports Writers Association [SWAG] Awards at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
Kudus beat Olympic gold medallist Joseph Paul Amoah- in athletics and Abraham Mensah – in amateur boxing to win the Sports Personality of the year.
After a sequence of events had unfolded, the Ajax mark man was honoured for his bravery on the pitch especially his influence with the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA world cup Qatar and his exploits at the club side.
Kudus despite not being available, was largely represented and left a short goodwill and gratification message thanking the president of the association for the award.
The ceremony saw a large gathering of distinct personalities and sportsmen from the various federations.
