Monaco have completed the signing of defender Mohammed Salisu from Southampton.
Salisu has penned down a 5-year deal, which will see him play in League 1 until 2028.
“AS Monaco are delighted to announce the arrival of central defender Mohammed Salisu from Southampton Football Club. The 24-year-old Ghana international has signed a 5-season deal and is now tied to the Principality club until June 2028,” club announced.
The Ghanaian center back left the Saints with a year left on his contract after he signed from Real Valladolid for a fee worth £10.9 million in 2020.
He made 22 appearances for Southampton in the 2022–2023 Premier League season before the club got relegated to the Championship.
However, his individual brilliance earned him a call-up to the Black Stars in 2022 as Ghana prepared for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
