Monday, 3rd January, 2022 has been declared a public holiday.
A statement issued by the Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery, says the declaration of January 3 as holiday is in line with the fact that Saturday, 1st January, 2022 marks New Year’s Day which is a Statutory Public Holiday and has fallen on weekend.
The statement said President Akufo-Addo by Executive Instrument (E.I), in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, (Act 601) declared Monday, 3rd January, 2022 as an additional Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
